   A "HUD home" is a 1 to 4 unit residential property acquired by HUD (Dept. of Housing and Urban Development) as a result of a foreclosure action on an FHA-insured mortgage. HUD becomes the property owner and offers it for sale to recover the loss on the foreclosure claim.

   When a HUD Home becomes available for sale, they contact Patriot´s Realty, Inc. immediately, so we list the home on TREND Multiple Listing Service. We are the registered broker for HUD and have the ability to submit your offer. HUD strongly recommends using a Broker because of our expertise in the local residential real estate market and because HUD does not have sufficient staff to assist prospective buyers in any aspects of home buying normally handled by brokers.
